BACKGROUND: Its name comes from the requirement that party-goers dress in all or almost all white. White Parties have taken place all over the world although the events are independent of each other. Some of the most famous ones are hosted by celebrities and include P’Diddy, Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, and Lady Gaga. The Washington White Party takes place in DC and is hosted by Ean Williams, the Executive Director of DC Fashion Week. Be prepared to see guests wearing their finest in white haute couture, ready to hob-nob and rub elbows with the best of the best. Invited guests include local celebrities, politicians and the fashion elite.
A special fashion show featuring several designers is scheduled as well as a guest comedian, and opening music acts. Exhibiting designers include Corjor International, Diallo, Emore’J, Heydari, Phillygurl, Renee France Designs, and Thomas Lavonne.
